Delay - Reinstall

Everything has been delayed on the account I need to reinstall my computer. I’ve encountered enough small glitches and am going to start a new. By the way, if you use Time Machine, it isn’t perfect but it works extremely well considering it is included when you buy Leopard.
Just have to make sure I am not missing anything when I back-up. I may need a check list.

I’ve been searching of ways to improve my website and start to bring in some steady traffic. While my podcasts have been doing okay to bring in some people to the website, one thing alone has brought in the most traffic. My post yesterday Threats and Stuff sent a spike in my hit counter. Apparently it made its way a little farther then I thought, and I was amused by this considering how trivial it really was. Though I do respond more aggressively when I am contacted privately and threatened but instead I was tickled by its lack of thought and out right rashness. Not that I wish it to happen again, but I am rather pleased something like that served me some good in the end.
Plus despite the threats to the podcasts they will continue, I will be working of recording one today on the topic of Stealth Games. I have mixed feelings on them so I am sure to offend someone so please listen ^.^
Threats and Stuff

Like anybody who wants to protect themselves I document any kind of threats I get and save as much proof as I can. This one is a great one! I am not a stranger to getting threats from parents of girls I am friends with, I am sure a fair amount of guys can agree with me there. Though I wanted to point out this in particular cause of the humor also involved in it. I have posted the picture of it below, and I took a real picture of it as it is much harder to fake if it has to be used as any kind of evidence.
My first favorite part of the entire threat is between the use of “DO U UNDERSTAND REDNECK ENGLISH???” and the use of the shorthand use of “u” and “/w” cause this is the kind of insults you receive on World of Warcraft from the 12-14 year old range of kiddies that play it. I would be expecting “y’all” and “getcha” from any kind of self respecting redneck.
Now for my second favorite part of this threat. Not only did the threat include me and my certain body parts may come up missing but also my podcasts? Why my podcasts? Seriously you can take my podcasts, I won’t miss them much as “certain body parts” which could be anything from my left nostril to my pinky toe!
Cause I know the person that is issuing the threat does have lots of dogs as she lives 20-30 minutes from the city where I live toward the backwater area of New York and can have unlimited pets to fill that void in her life. Also that she is very accustomed to the “dried out piece of died dog shit on the bottom of my shoe.” which is apparently very, very dried as it has not been clean up before she stepped in it or after.
In respect to this entire post I hope you have a healthy relationship with your parents and you have discussed the line of respect and privacy with them that all kids should discuss with their parents. This is especially true for all of you out there who are a legal adult and still have their parents hijacking their AIM IM name to insult their friends.
I hope you enjoyed this little look into harassment on the world wide web, or like I call it, The Interwebs. Though sadly I will not be including this on one of my podcasts as I am sure Willow will be devastated to hear.

One of the hardest aspects of podcasting for me is topics. While I love to review topics I also want to talk about Science, Politics, and Religion. All of which is a bad idea in my opinion cause it just frustrates people who are listening. Of course my solution is just to talk about tech cause is exciting and pretty safe.
Then I was thinking. Now that I have decided on covering safe and fun topics does that mean I should up the level of the casting with explicit content? Swearing and adult themes? It could be fun, and I certainly like using the word #@$% as much as possible as the next person. Though I will be warning you with a big O explicit tag next to the podcast when this happens so keep your eyes open for it if you want to avoid such content.
EXPLICIT CONTENT
Recording on Friday’s podcast will start later today so don’t expect it too soon. I have to start recording these things a little ahead of time. Between editing and mistakes it takes too long, especially since I sleep from 9am-2pm.

To say the least I will be making and posting a new podcast on Wednesday. I am going to cover my favorite things about Firefox 3 including the add-ons that I am currently using.
I am currently using Skype yet again, FoxSpellCaster, if you are interested.
Preparing Sake has been becoming more of a science for me these past few days. With a remote temperature gauge and temperature alarm I have been closer to the perfect cup of sake each time!
If anyone is also interested in the miracle black apple crowbar featured in repair videos here is the link to what they “might” be using. Looks pretty useful though, and certainly cheap enough to not risk using a screwdriver.

Guidelines and Deliveries

I’ve been working on a show format for the podcast. There is a lot of podcasting articles out there to read and there is a lot of good advice as the podcasting community is very close to each other and very honest. I’ve found the best one so far on the Apple website for podcasting tips, so I am going to stick to that one and see how it feels.
I’ve been using Firefox 3 for a couple of days now and I love it. There is one tiny little problem though… it messes with my top bar on my website! Of all things to go wrong it is my website.
I ordered a microphone I’ve been meaning on purchasing for a while now. It is a profesional usb microphone and hopefully it will be ariving later today. When it does I shale be working hard on recording Friday’s Podcast!
